How to Cut a Glass Bottle Using a String

Materials Needed:

Glass bottle

String

Nail Polish Remover

Lighter

Basin with water

Procedures:

1. Tie the string around the bottle. Make sure that the string follows the path of the circumferential line where you want the bottle to be cut.

2. Take away the string from the bottle. Ensure connection of both ends.

3. Soak the string with the nail polisher remover.

4. Place the soaked string fitly around the bottle, and light it up. Hold the bottle.

5. Wait for 5 seconds to let it burn. Using your hands, slowly rotate it along the horizontal axis. Don’t throw it, or release it.

6. Dip it in the basin containing water, and forcefully try to split it as wanted.

Warning:

Don’t play with fire. This trick is not suitable for very young audiences. Parental guidance is recommended.
